OpenNap Connection Problem
« on: July 04, 2006, 05:56:07 pm »

Hopefully this will be an easy one to solve by changing some settings or something.

I've been a user of v3.53 for quite a while now and have successfully run this from my PC.  I've now got myself a new laptop which has a wireless connection.  I've installed v.3.53 onto the new machine, and while I don't have any problems with the WINMX peer network, I get no connection at all to the opennap servers - (the list of which, I imported from my PC)

I either get 'connection refused' or ' connection timed out'

Could anyone please offer some help?

Mnay Thanks

hum.. the things that pop to mind are these..

Remember to use a straight forward name.. no cutsie ascii art .. Set this in WinMX Settings under OpenNap

Remember about the file sharing limits many of them have imposed..

Also could you right click those and servers that dont connect and choose View Server Messages.. see what the cause they report are..
