Thanks for that, the first link seems a bit too technical for me.  The second one - I don't think the problem is actually fakes, the main problem seems to be that the search criteria that you enter is just being completely ignored and over-ridden.  No matter what you ask for everything gets returned regardless of what you are actually searching for be it a load of useless indecipherable characters or proper writing, it still has no bearing on what you are looking for.

I tried the OpenNap option last night and the searches are still being corrupted in exactly the same way - the search criteria is being ignored.

quite logical ...if you are still connected to the WPN the searches will still be affected by it... in short ..disconnect from the wpn before doing a search

PS.. but if you're going to disconnect from the WPN anyway it may be better to use another/better opennap app
