Ubuntu 8.04   Xfce Desktop   winmx thru Wine   WCS chat server linux version

i am not able to play music thru the transfer window.   When I right click on a completed download and choose play nothing happens.
Is there a fix for this?

note: I am using Audacious as my default music player.
Can I set something up In the Winmx settings under File Launching ??

Thanks

A) i cant beleive no one responded even for someone else having the same issue
B) you need to install codecs for mp3 most distros do not provide them due to licensing
C) [dont take my word for this] but i dont beleive you can launch other processes from inside winmx manually navigate to the file through your media player and add them. if everything is installed correctly you can then play your files.

No guarantee it will work, but in winmx settings, file launching, you can add commands to launch applications from within winmx.

i doubt it will work since the programs will be stored with a / directory and winmx ofc uses a \ directory and because of wines virtual hard drives. you can set a /downloads directory as a second drive inside wine and point your downloads at the drive and your media player at the / folder (deb based users make sure to place it under your /usr folder or partition RPM based users might get away with a root directory)

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
