I have created a new tarball containing all the files nescesary to run polini's chat client on any system with wine installed.
The reason for doing so is that RAR support in these systems is sketchy, and all the needed files arent available in wine.

For the moment if you have zip support:
http://forested665.patchwinmx.com/polini-wine.zip
When someone offers hosting it will be in a compressed tar archive.

To use this simple extract the folder wherever you choose.
Typically ~/polini-wine

Then open a command prompt  and type
Code:
wine 'path/to/where/you/extracted/Polini46ChatClient.exe' TypeYourChannelNameFirst ThenYourUsername

Ive tested this underDosbox and it DOES NOT work
As for mono if anyone wishes to report back go ahead.

A screenshot:

Happy chatting =D

Wouldn't using cwtux be a much simpler way? After all it is *nix native.

Personally I'd prefer WPCC, which has a "wine" version available for Linux.
Although cwtux works nicely on CLI Smile

If they were able to compile it they most likely wouldnt be using wine =D
I posted this so that if for some reason they couldnt get winmx to work and dont wish to use the cruddy webchats they still had an option.

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
