site login broken?
« on: May 25, 2009, 05:16:17 pm »
hi there

lately my password (remembered in explorer) is not getting picked up, i waited this out to see if one of my settings was wrong or off but the problem persists

it's like the site just reads the dots instead of what they're hiding making me always retype the dots, am i the only one experiencing this?

greetings, ..Joshua203

Try deleting the site cookies, sometimes these get corrupt.

And yes, we changed something this last weekend, but logins shouldn't be affected as such.

i can login manually or not log out

it could be that explorer 8 messed it up.. i don t know... just a guess ;-)

i dug up this topic because there actually is more wrong with the login i'm afraid

after login (and making sure i don t use the remembered pass!) the redirect is kinda random, i mean it tends to redirect me to any place but not the forum index (pretty often the scandinavian section), firefox does not seem the do the same so i guess chances are that this only happens in explorer (too lazy to test all browsers i have installed here)

Greetings,

Sorry about that  - but I seem to be the only one around here to fix things like that and I've been on vacation for almost 3 weeks :P

Besides that it's hard to fix things nobody else seems to be experiencing - at least it always works just fine for me with all the browsers I've tried so far.
IE8 might need compatible mode for the forum though to show it all right...

Anyway, unfortunately I can't fix errors I can't see so I'm afraid you got to live with it for now - sorry...

Hi Nylly,

amazingly my last 3 logins just now did not show this problem (as far as it is a problem) not even after i cleared IE8

If it comes back i ll look at the other browsers and see what happens

Btw i was not trying to critisize (is that how it s spelled????), but i thought it was never read, wich is why i gave it another push after all this time :).
