tried everything unistaled it then put winmx v3.54 beta 4 on instead and its worked

don't think so. You could try disabling your xp firewall for a moment though to make sure it isn't that.

Try installing winmx 3.54 beta instead?
I've heard someone saying it solved his probs, wouldn't know why though - but it's worth a try maybe....

Yes its worth a try.. the patch ...

if your talking about the winmx tho ,, no .. i dont think reinstalling would help this issue....

theres still np joy
dl the PIE patch with instaler
then followed the instructions at the bottom of the page
conserning the DNS Client
still nothing
do you think it would help if i uninstalled then reinstalled?

- Internet connection type         (56k)
- WinMX Version                    v3.53
- Secondary or primary user (Secondary)
- What make of firewall you have (windows)
- Router brand and model ???????
- Any WinMX add-ons installed (patch)

used winmx sucessfully in the past but now it wont connect at all

Reinstall the patch and make sure its in your winmx folder. then re=do the dns flush agian..
