Hmmm, Idunno, I just brought it down from "27 nets online" to "9 nets online" (is that what you mean?) and no improvement. Maybe I just deselected the wrong ones!

Try connecting to fewer servers
When I tried with 11 serverss
I got about 30-40 results with 100% accuracy meaning no stray results
When I connected to 21 servers, the problem started

Cheers :P

Well im guesing like but id say that was probably right, open-nap is based on the napster way of things winmx has its own WPN which is two diffrent things, so the nap servers probably work off keywords. so i id say you got it their  :P

Yeah, I think I'm generally getting MOST of my Search results from the Nap servers vs. the WinMX ones. So maybe you're right, maybe those other server programs go off keywords - is that what you mean, because their programs run differently?

Or should the search function work through WinMX, no matter WHAT servers I'm getting results from, so any search should come up the same way?

is it only showing these diffrent names coming from the nap servers our is it from, winmx as well. If its just the napservers id say maybe it goes off keywords instead of just the whole name.

Since I've installed OpenNap servers, I've noticed that I'm getting very very broad (i wanna say "inaccurate") search results.

For instance, I'll enter a Search as "Beck - Think I'm in Love".
For results I'll get any old song titles (i.e. NOT just the one I entered) by Beck and also by Jeff Beck, someone named Robin Beck, and so on.
I used to only get the exact song titles and artists I put into the search, so I could really narrow it down with both artist and song title. No other titles by that artist would come up like is happening now. At least I THINK this is a result of the OpenNap procedure I just did, it seems like it anyway.

Any idea what's up with that? Kind of a pain to have to search manually thru all the gobbledy-gook I'm getting back.
