Hello,

I am sorry when Igo to  https://patch.winmxconex.com/ I have downloaded the patches from there and when I havae gone to open the file to install the patch it comes up as a virus/trojan. I am using Trend micro Security and I have allowed winmx to go through the ffirewall. I hope that this is what you needed to help me.

Thanks
Angie

Hi Angierum

First of all im not completely understanding your post, Can you tell me what you mean by "the trojan thing come out" ?

Where did you reinstall from?
What firewalls are you using now?

Hello,

I have been reading the posts and I also had the trojan thing come out. I am operating vista and I have reinstalled all setup files and patches. I have been trying to connect for about half and hour.

I have only just reinstalled winmx as I thought that it wasn't compatible with vista and only now have I had time to check for compatibility.  My kids have been using the new winmx like limewire and I don't like that one.

Could you please help me

Thanks :)

I tried that and put those things in with what you had stated and it still didn't connect.  I dont' know why all of a sudden it quit working.

Hi Benge you might want to check and see that your Windows XP firewall hasn't re-enabled itself. It's known to do this occasionally after windows updates. Even if it is still disabled you might want to add winmx to the exception list.

Check out the below links if your uncertain on how to do this.

Microsoft Windows XP Firewall
https://www.winmxworld.com/tutorials/firewalls-xp.html

or

Microsft Windows XP Firewall SP2

Hope this helps. Post back and let us know :)
