Hans' tool is a File-Manager plugin, in 3 flavours, for windows and Linux boxes, unfortunately it's not yet a WinMX plugin

Coincidentally a tool of this nature appears to have been released this very day (which i see you have already come across yourself). Personally i know nothing about it, but you might want to give it a try and see how it works. As far as i know there is no other tool available for winmx that will do this.

Can someone tell me where the third party add ons come from?I'm asking because i'm wondering if there's one that will display a file i've already downloaded in a particular color when browsing someone's library so I don't download the same file again. If there isn't one, where can I get in contact with someone who can create one?I don't know the first thing about programming, so it's not something I can do myself, but this is an issue I bump up against a lot as I have a pretty extensive library and sometimes the same file will circulate under different files names.Any help would be appreciated.
