Folks great news, the great guy behind the MxCentral site has allowed us access to his archived copy of the site and its hosted here.
http://mxcentral.winmxworld.com/index.html
I hope you all pay it a visit, its one of the best winmx sites that was on the net when I first came to winmx and it was a shame it had to be taken down, but It shall live on here.
I hope you all agree this is great news for the community.
Cheers 7en, your work will not be lost in time 8)
Folks what are you still doing here ?

I hope you all recognise the famous original often found on other sites, this is how it all works. :D

TY GhosShip.
I agree with your assessment of the site, it was indeed one of the very BEST WinMX sites & I have personally missed it.
Thanks indeed to 7en for allowing it to be hosted here, & to you for doing so.
btw the first of those 2 links appears inoperative. I'm sure it's just a minor typo or something..

Link Fixed Bearded :D
There was an temporary index page in place that has now been removed
I like the look of the site even now, its tips are very useful still and the description of the WPN operation puts my meager effort to shame

mxcentral was the single resource for winmx, and everything else was simply a copy of that
winmxworld has replaced it in many ways, but even if just for historic value (although it's still useful for many things) is it still probably the most important website in winmx history... would have been a shame for it to just vanished forgotten forever

I for one remember this as THE premier site for any WinMX related issues.. being from in the old WinMX Community Help environment this link was a must have for help ..7en has contributed to this network and its safe keeping after Front Codes removal of the caches more then he can possibly know.
Its a pure honor and privilege to have this site back on the air ..

What to say? I'm pretty lost for words. :)
I cringe looking through it now as times have changed a lot, so a lot of it seems somewhat out of date in many ways (the grammar is embarrassingly bad for a start). There came a point where my knowledge (don't laugh ;)) out-accelerated my will to update it so it got left behind over time.
I had plans for continuing it in the day but was always waiting around for Frontcode to bring out the next big client update which ended up never really happening (waiting around for v3.55 / v4.00 more than anything which should have been significant). The hash db was an 'interesting' thing to do but it ended up taking up too much time & effort to the point I grew sick of updating it.
A lot of folks look to me as the whole reason behind the site though the truth is it's just the sum of the efforts of others in the WinMX community that contributed to it. I just stuck it all together. ;)
Anyway, hope it's still of some use to someone out there, and I've no problem at all if anyone would like to use/copy/modify any of it for anything pro-winmx.
Thanks all.
