i have downloaded the beta4 and the ws2 file but cant connect

If your reinstalling you must stop the set up during the 'Connection set-up' test and say  'Configure manually', then set the ports to 6699 and 6257.  Then click continue the set up.

Once this is complete then you can add your w2 file to the winmx folder and restart.

Should work fine if your using XP.

There is nothing wrong with winmx. Have just transfered over 5 million bytes .Using 354. betta4.patch and a new server lookdsl. One party uploaded 50 files no problem 25 at a time. have transfered over 5 million bytes in the last 12 hrs. the only ones I lose are the ones your isp cuts you off .Like I said there is nothing wrong with winmx it is your isp,Happy nmew year Still uploading lik fire . Fire your isp and get a new one only takes a few hrs .Gus.
