Title: friends needs help

friend of mine recently added winmx it connects but when she tries to refresh channel list or files list it will disconnect then connect can anyone plz tell me whats wrong she is on hughes network and no router

First of all has she allowed winmx through her firewall? Also what operating system is she running?

windows xp with service pack 2 and yes is good on firewall as well

Sounds to me like the router or firewall is detecting the channel list as a flood and is then blockling all the access to the programme. What router/firewall is she using?
