Title: Timeouts

I am running Satellite with Dialup for backup.  I already have winmx set on the maximum which is 300 in my timeout box. If im on dialup almost every song connects but the download speed is very slow. If im on Satellite If I pick out 10 songs I may get one out of those to connect if im lucky. The rest of the songs goes to waiting for connection and then in a short time turns red. I also use the bandwidth tester on both Satellite and Dailup before I start my winmx and set It accordingly. Can you help me with this problem.

Hey Tonypketchem,

It sounds like your doing all the right things to get the best speeds possible, but I am curious if your using the filters as described here:

This will ensure that your not getting any of the annoying fakes that plague all p2p networks these days..

Also be sure if your on a primary that your using either the WinMX Group patch (.dll) or another form of blocking program to keep the riaa off your connection, they are major bandwidth stealers as well, and can cause your connections to drop, or be sluggish too..
