the message to member button..

the button that winmx ( and others always had) to send messages to members downloading....has anyone ever had a reply from it?

in all the time 3 yrs plus using winmx, never ever had someone reply or acknowledge in any way....does it supposedly work?

 Ive had responses and received message windows from memebers on other file-shares, maybe Napster, or at least t one of them..

I've had conversations with people started by either me or them in this way before now..

Perhaps it's something to do with shared file types, they've always been with people sharing/downloading either apps or audio books, never music..

I wonder if there's a difference in the psychology of how likely people are to talk according to what file types they search on or share?
