I use Winmx Connection Viewer that shows me IP addresses of those who are getting files from me and vice versa. Lately when I check it it shows that someone is downloading from me, 99% of the time it is from Japan, but Winmx itself shows no activity at all. Not even on bandwidth page. Really freaks me out. Is someone actually hiding and getting my files without me knowing about it?

I don't have a link for it. Don't even remember where I got it but, I've used it for a long time. Would be happy to send it to where ever. It's just a 43.5 kb .exe file.

got it.... and oddly... it seems to think i am uploading something when i am definitly not (im using another tool to monitor traffic as well)

Thanks for the help. Probably just a problem with the program but I've used it for awhile and never noticed it before and with the winmx attack lately, had me wondering.

the best i understand the very odd logic of this programs 'status' its outgoing connections... connections your machine makes to another... are marked as 'NowUL' regardless if there is any traffic actually traversing the connection or not...

incoming connections (from someone else to you) are marked as 'NowDL' ... again regardless if traffic is flowing or not...

this tool is simply badly worded in what it calls incoming and outgoing connections...

'hyroglyphics' are japanese characters being show in an english charset... which ofc epic fails at the attempt....

network is under attack... joining a room to share with friends is currently the only real option...
