How To Learn A New Dog Old Tricks (or new nicks)
« on: November 27, 2005, 06:44:21 pm »
I understand it's possible to have WinMX display ones user nick without all the numbers that usually get attached to it, so that the nick gets a clean, uncluttered display. Could anyone please enlighten me here (sorry me here, the pun was unintentional)

Cheers!

LOL.. ok 'you there',

Tso the only place that WinMX wont display those is inside a chat room and that will depend on the host of the room and what server they have.  That is something that has to be set by them for the entire room, and is different for all chat servers..

You *can* dispense with numbers in a chatroom that displays them, by using Nushi 1.8 although that said WCS will chop the last 9 characters off if the host has numbers hidden.. & WCS is one hell of a popular server.. also you'll lose coloured text & the ability to PM
