No Incoming Connections

Been using open nap for quite a while now. No incoming connections ever come in. I sharing over 6000 .mp3's Just curious if I need to port forward when using Open Nap. Thanks for any input.

I have posted in another topic you created Lakehavasu so this ones pretty much redundant however I would suggest you do undertake a forwarding of the tcp transfer port for opennap and if possible ask a winmx or opennap chat room user to join the same opennap server and make a test download as this live feedback method can take a lot of the guesswork out of resolving any problems.

What Operating system do you use ?

What flavour of opennap client ?  (winmx /other )

Do you have a router ?

Did you undertake the port forwarding steps ?

what port or ports did you forward ?

Do you have a firewall engaged ?

using windows 10 opennap winmx yes have a netgear router didn't port forward do I using opennap? firewall is fixed to allow winmx to work.

yes you need to port forward through your router to use opennap.. thats why your downloads aren't working... the default port for opennap is 6699

ok I will port forward. I have no problem downloading, there is just no uploading coming in

no uploads if the port is closed, noone can connect to you... downloads work because they have their ports forwarded allowing you to connect to them...

are people trying to connect and the upload fails? or are there no attempts?

no attempts lately. It's weird I have tried everything I can think of port forwarding, firewall etc just can't figure it out.

maybe everything is working but noone is interested in what you have?

have you tried looking for chatrooms on the opennap servers you are on?
