the second device (router) would be set to listen to whichever of those addresses you chose
@Bluey_412I have gone ahead and changed my TP-Link TD-8616 Modem to be 192.168.0.1 [from 192.168.1.1] and am now trying to setup modem and router as per your example. Not being an expert in anyway, I am a little unsure of where certain numbers have to be entered, so, laying it out as you have done, it looks like this:Innernet 64.25.86.103 > TD-8616 modem 192.168.0.1 (gateway) > 192.168.0.100 RT-N16 router 192.168.1.1 (gateway) >computers 192.168.1.101 and upI get all the numbers, except this one 192.168.0.100Where does it get placed : in modem or in router Quotethe second device (router) would be set to listen to whichever of those addresses you choseWhere in router do I place this number and is it 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.100Your explanation is good I am just a little unsure how to go about setting this up, not having that much experience with all of this. Thanks for taking the time.
