New tracking software

I saw a blurb on the news that the movie andd music cartels are gfoing t have ISPs nstall a new rtracking system desigmed to target file sharing. It's supposed to identify people who are illegally downloading from known pirate sites. The question, of course, is whether this new software will work against a decentralized system like tghe WinMx network. They will give you a warning if they suspect you and then they wi/ll start limiting your bandwidth or even cancelling your account.

The system is unlikely to work with an encrypted file transfer generated via a decentralised P2P network, currently the transfers are sent in plaintext, however this will be remedied before any such anti privacy system is placed at the disposal of the music monopoly Cartel.
