There are many reasons that an upload will time out from certain users.

One would be if neither of you have ports set up in WinMX.  For example if your ports say 'Unable' for Incoming TCP and IN /OUT UDP and thiers do also.  You will recieve the message 'Both Users Firewalled' meaning Winmx couldnt establish a communictions with you both..

Other reasons could be firewall or router that is not configured properly on their end.  Which there is nothing you can do to fix this except message them and have them stop by here for some guidence...

Remember that WinMx and Computers are not 100%, and its normal for some folks to time out uploading or your download to time out from some users...

Troll can you give me some more information about your set up?

Do you have a router or DSL Modem?
Who is your Internet Service Provider?
Windows Firewall enabled?
Do you use Norton Antivirus 2005?

What patch are you using for Mx?
Do you have secondary or primary connection?
