Its that time again folks
Today is a special day folks , we have been supporting the WinMX network for a very long time and would like you to join us in celebration of the tenth anniversary of its official closure and its unofficial resurrection.
Its been a long journey since 2005 and we have all conversed and shared our files with many thousands of friends some new and many old on this magnificent network, its been a tough battle at some stages amid many years of peaceful operation although we all know of late that drastic changes are needed to restore the shine of the good old days, today we forget those whom hate free speech and friendships, let us celebrate what this network means to us and pledge to do all we can to help it grow again in the future, we have fought hard and we will win hard, viva WinMX !!!
To give some of you a refresher on the proud history of this network, WinMxWorld has been compiling a history for you all to read and enjoy, its not a full history yet but with your help and participation we believe it will be, so please take the time to read through as much as you can and write your own additional entries of the communities history based on the existing timelines and we will interweave you words to the story, lets face it folks there are many divergent views and much that's gone on that hasn't yet been written down anywhere and now seems like a good time to get some ink onto paper 21st century style
Enjoy !!
https://www.winmxworld.com/tutorials/the_complete_winmx_history.htmlHappy anniversary folks, let us all pull together when we can to bring some joy back to our network as the alternative is heading our way at speed, community participation and communication helps hold us together until we are able to rebuild yet again, we are all in the same boat using this network and we must all take measures within our capabilities when its clear we need to bail it out, please don't wait to be asked
I also ask that you remember that the current network infrastructure is operated solely by many special users whom take no fanfare or thanks from one year to the next whilst quietly delivering everything we rely on to keep the network up, lets give these humble people a mighty cheer and thank them all for their time and more importantly the financial cost they pay for you all to enjoy this network , I haven't mentioned money here before as It would likely embarrass many of them but I hope you join with me in thanking them from the depths of the heart for their important services to this community, thanks to all of you "special people" .
Ten years is a long time to commit to WinMX and I personally hope that the next ten years will see the networks fortunes restored, not by magic but by hard work as has always been the way, WinMxWorld and its staff thank you all for being part of this community and remain proud of the journey we have all undertaken to reach this special milestone, ten years of freedom might not mean much to many other internet communities but we here recognise the significance of whats been achieved by all of us.
Lets work on
together
