when i open winmx and go into chatroom,i get a dr.watson postmortom error,would it be my router,or is this happening to lots of people?on primary i get a blue screen of death in a short while,running winxp media edition linksys router

Sounds like you may need to run some system file scans..

This is not like a virus scan its a XP feature to allow you to repair certain files it finds that might have become damaged..

"Sometimes the problem can be caused by system file damage, to do a scan of your XP system files go to Start > Programs > Accessories > Command/Msdos prompt,  and enter 'sfc/scannow'.  If there are damaged files it may require you to have your operating system disk handy to make the repairs. "

Run that and see if it acts better.. let me know..
