the forum seems to allow for 2mb uploads per attachment not exceeding 4mb total data.... however when i get close to that limit.. say around 2mb... it throws a 413 or malfunctions in a different way such as timing out... the file and post never making it....

...am i doing something wrong here?

I have experienced that myself many times Stripes, I chop files in half to post them on the forum here if they are approx 2Mb , 1.5Mb seems good etc but 2 is a no go for me also.

Seems I'm the only one being able to log in as admin and look at things or something

Anyways, that setting can be changed easily - what sizes for single attachment / total data seem resonable to you guys?
Just let me know and I'll change it

I think just over 2 megs is ok as we dont really want to cater for large file transfers across the forum , the 2 meg hitch seems just under 2 megs so perhps 2.5 is good for me, and in my defence I try to stay out of the admin area, I dare not touch anything unless its that or death..lol
