winmx starts fine then within a few minutes of people ul the transfer status goes to zero--everyone then gets cut off and i dont know why -- im running xp home sp2,with a d-link router ..has been running fine then started to screw up so i formated my hd reinstalled winmx - worked fine for a day now it  has been screwing up again  and have no other idea's -= ive done virus scans,spyware scan's error checking but still no results ..any advice would be appreciated ..or e-mail at donbry@sympatico.ca    thank you

Its highly likely for what you describe that Sympatico is shaping your p2p activity.

To get around the shaping you will have to direct WinMx to use different ports and hope that the Sympatico doesnt block or throttle these as well.. many Rogers and Sympatico users have had good luck with ports such as 1720, 3339, 39..
