I had been downloading from winmx for over four years, but now I am not able to connect to the site.  Can anyone help me out with this problem. :?  :(

Purple recently, on Sept. 20th Front code was forced to shut down the peer caches we used to connect.

We have since then set up our own new ones and you can connect to them by downloading this patch located here:

https://www.winmxgroup.com/

Get the patch there called Version 1.9 and download this.  When its done downloading make sure its 1.3MB in size and just run it.  With WinMX off of course.

Then restart WinMX and you should be back on and downloading or uploading your files like normal...

mine also says "finding network connections" despite downloading and installing the patch. what am i doing wrong?

is winmx still online i cannot hold my connection and microsoft says it is not avvailible. keeps cutting me off have both patches installed .are you still online  Gus

Gus,

Can you tell me what two patches you have, as the hosts file and the .dll can conflict.
Also can you tell me what version of IE your using and if you have gotten any microsoft updates lately.
Can you tell me what message you normally see in the upper left corner under the WinMX v and Online status is... "Patch Operational" or "Please Be Patient" .. ?



We are online although WinMX is experiencing a error for several folks and at this time we are not sure what is causing this.

the problem is within winmx 3.54.4 they working on fix but temp solution use install 1.9 select 98/me this installs winmx 3.53 works ok
