winmx error

can anybodyhelp been using winmx for long time but now i get connected ok but then a message saying winmx application has encoutered a problem and needs to close so the whole thing gets shut down please help

We are trying to pin point the problem with the errors at this time,

For now the fix is this:

Rename your C:\Program Files\WinMx folder to \WinMx2

Then make a new installation of MX from the Install 1.9 choosing 98/ME as your operating system, even for XP users.

This will give you WinMx version 3.53 and the olepro32.dll patch for connection.  With this combonation you will need to install peer guardian 2 with our block list to keep the RIAA aka. Macrovision off your connection..

Good Day

Just incountered today a failure along same lines as "deksteph"....
Have been operating quite well for months since the "big dump"....
The following message and shutdown appears after about five minutes of operation when getting started up

"CiceroUIWndFrame: Winmx.exe >Application Failure" this is a memory failure message and when cancelled will not "debug".....

Machine is well maintained weekly and have today tested all hardware, also have deleted and reinstalled and did registry clean before reinstall.

Started Winmx up and the same result occurs>>>

Will try previous suggestion made as to correction and report result>>
