Hello, every since I installed the new patch WinMX keeps crashing. At first, it was just when I entered a channel, but now it's more random. It didn't happen when the old ws_32.dll patch was the newest one. I haven't changed any settings on my computer in the past few days. I also uninstalled the winmx 3.54 beta 4 from winmx.com incase there was a conflict. Now, WinMX is crashing about every 45 minutes. Just now, I was adding a .wsx file to WinMX and it crashed. I went to secondary and it fixed the problem, but I happen to like being on primary.[/size]

Autumn get this Patch from here

It has the fixed ws2_32.dll as of oct 11th at 11:30 GMT in it ..

that link is corrupt that patch is excellent but cant get it again for anyone else please post a new link.

hi ther i was having same prtob installes latest pie patch .and then installed win mx version 3.54 beta working grat m8 .give it a go . j deighan glad tio help... hope it works as well as me .

Glad your doing ok Johnbhoy.. I hope since your on the pie patch now that if your running a primary connection your also running PeerGuardian 2 with our added block list to also do your part to protect and rid this network of flooding and fakes..

Dont forget it takes a community to protect a community..

It seems the version 3.54 with the .dll patch has problems atm, please get this file if you don't have it already

When installing please use the option for win98/Me which will give you a patched version 3.53 which works fine on xp also.
If you want to keep your settings you should rename your old winmx folder to winmx_old and copy over all the files with a .dat extension.
Please make sure to use Peerguardian2 with that since that version can't make use of the blocklist automatically.
