am I paranoid?

Don't know if this makes sense to anyone else; AFS found a user with 893 in the queue. I thought this was odd, did WhoIs; in the fifteen seconds it took to get WhoIs response, reported queue had reached 1140. All on a user with one slot available. Thought this had to be a mis-report, so I cleared the WhoIs and re-tried it; another fifteen seconds, this time the queue was now an insane 1200 odd. Naturally, with a queue of over 1200, I didn't bother joining the end of it..... who the hell joins a queue of over 1200 on one slot??! I think I have seen this a few times now, so is this a new scam of creating a fake report of the numbers in the queue so as to deter anyone actually joining it, so that that user can access everyone else's files without anyone ever actually uploading from them? Either the cartel have finally driven me completely mad and I see conspiracies everywhere or.....

i've seen that a few times before, the actual cause for this is that for some reason the search results come back showing avalible files - so AEQ sees that the queue is shorter than it is (ie. 0 files) so it joins.

The reason for the long queues is because everyones AEQ is seeing 0 and joining, so the normal limit where after around 100 people stop joining doesn't apply... and the queue keeps getting longer and longer.

Has been a while since i've noticed it though, but I believe its a bug in WinMX where the primary mixes up the statuses (although thats just a guess - based on the fact it sometimes does it with shared files as well - causing "ghost files")
