help with loading incomplete files
« on: June 26, 2005, 06:08:14 am »
Hi,

I had a hard drive crash, but before it went out I copied all of my incomplete files to another drive.  Now I have winMX on that drive and put the incomplete files back in the winmx shared folder.  My question is how do I get those incomplete files to load back up so I can start them from that position.  The "load incomplete files" button isn't working with them (guessing because of the hashing, but I'm not sure)

Thanks,
Ex

Hey Ex..

Once you put them into the correct folder they should load up fine the hashes dont change with a transfer to another location..
So my suggestion is to make sure you have them in the 'Incoming folder'

Go to settings >  File Transfers > look at the top of the right side.. you will see a file path, thats where your incoming files are going and that is the folder the incompletes have to be in.  Most people share a folder that is different from thier incoming folder so they are not sharing incomplete files and so they can be scanned by your anitvirus just to be on the safe side..
Let us know if this helped ya..

Happy Completing...
