can't connect!

I can access both the primary and secondary connections but the yellow light just keeps blinking and it won't connect to either one... what should i do?

which patch are you using , are you behind a router,firewall etc..............
was winmxworking working ok then just stopped,if so what changed?
do you use nortons with worm control ?
can you try and give as much information as possible please

kiki,

in case you don't know this already - you need to use a patched winmx since the original owners shut down their servers.
If you haven't done so already I recommend installing a fresh version from www.winmxgroup.com
If you still can't connect even after installing that we do indeed need some further information as to any router/modem/firewall/antivirus you're using so we can help you figure it out.

Can't connect...Windows XP, AOL Firewall, Winmx Ver 3.53, AVG Free Antivirus,SVEC Router Model 4D2162A...tried the new and old patches...Tried Ver 3.54b just no luck

I'm not familliar with the AOL firewall, but as a check try with firewalls off, then you'll at least have found out where to look, if you're running the AOL one the xp one can be safely turned off.. or if you prefer the other way around

it seems alot of ppl r havin connection probs, all those wi routers, i spoke wi another host lasnite, he cant get into his own room now he on a router, his probs started the day he installed new router, he's goin bac to the old modem/system n see if that works,
all i can say is check ur port/router settings with this site http://www.portforward.com/default.htm

joining a room you host see above
winmx not connecting, make sure the patch is installed properly (should say patch operational and should have a splash screen on startup), if not then reinstall from www.winmxgroup.com
