Hi

Running WinMX v 3.53 + patch/Primary/ZoneAlarm free firewall/Peerguardian 2/Win98SE.

When running WinMX with firewall, functions within WimMX react very slowly, if I disable firewall reaction times are normal.

Anyone have a solution to this?

Some users have reported problems with ZoneAlarm & winmx, unfortunately the only answer i know for the users who have problems, is to change to a different firewall.....

Ok, anyone got a recomendation, free of course

and needs to be able to be used by a simpleton

I recommend sygate personal. I'ts free, easy to use and works great with winmx.

Yes, the ZA and Winmx conflict is well known and yes, my votes with Sygate too!

I use sygate myself, though I know some who swear by kerio (also free) I swore AT it however when I looked......
