Click the "Load Incomplete" button (top center) in the transfer window, then go to Settings click File Transfers (left) and Déselect Clear Incomplete Downloads  ;)

Sounds like windows 7?

If so, you could try making a new folder directly on C:
name it WinMX Downloads (or whatever you want)... move the incompletes to the new folder...and lastly go to your winmx settings... file transfers... click change and point the file path to the new folder you created.

You don't really have to put the folder directly on C: as long you you don't use the fake folder path that windows7 uses (fake path like in "my music"), put the folder anywhere you like and point winmx to it directly

Personally I dislike downloading anything to C for obvious reasons of safety
