Viruses and Malware

I would like to know what are some of the decent spyware and antivirus tools avaiable that are good for the computer and winmx. A firewall is on the list as well. Needless to say that the first place i am going to shop is at winmx

I would also like to know if viruses can be embedded or downloaded from music/video files. I don't think that they can be, but still i just wanted to confirm.

Usually what you will see are viruses, trojans masquerading as music/video or more likely as software.  Always check sizes match and never download if your unsure, its also not a good idea to try to download cracks from MX.

I use Spybot Search & Destroy, Adaware SE ( a must have), Sygate Personal Firewall, and Avast Antivirus with worm protection.  Never had a problem yet that was trojan, spyware, or virus relate using this config of tools.

There are other good ones but those are all free and easy to use, love mx, and work well too IMHO...

its also not a good idea to try to download cracks from MX.

never try to download cracks from anywhere, about the only way to guarantee that you download a virus is to download a couple of cracks from anywhere, lol

you'd almost think the companies are releasing these things themselves to infect the computers of anyone who tries to get cracks for their software...
