Good News folks 

KM has released a new version and it has been a while I notice since the last one, lets see whats new ..

WCS 1.7.4 has been released, just a couple of bug fixes,

+ Fix bug with banlist
+ Add extra cache hostnames (it now uses all 30 of the winmxgroup hostnames to locate caches)
+ Increased maximum size of MOTD (i'm not going to give an exact size before it messes up, but i did have a test MOTD that took 5 seconds to load...)
+ A few modifications to increase performance

As usual, restart WCS and it'll auto-update to 1.7.4

The MOTD fix [finally  ] is great..  I triplicated my to-the-old-limit motd and it worked flawlessly.

Thanks so much for finding and fixing that.. it'll save me so much tweaking time when i add late breaking news flashes etc to my motd. 

I haven't tested the IP bans yet, but guess all my malformed, winmx style bans won't work anymore..   

I think it would be a boon if in a future version you can adapt the /banip command to use the standard winmx syntax, including bantime?  since that simplfies using a regular menu command.  no rush.. you deserve a break after this release!

Problems using WCS Advanced with new WCS 1.7.4

obvious one is that the reload button on the new WCS 1.7.4 is now visible through the WCS Advanced connections part

KM are you deliberately stopping WCS Advanced functioning or is this an error?

Just think that one opening it and noticing that hit me in the face that there must be other faults under the surface too

This mean that all .dll add on's will no longer work if u are editing the setup of WCS?

This is a problem that really revolves around which is more important to you, the add on or the WCS.

The src for WCS advanced is available from the Archive so perhaps you may wish to tweak the code to fix it if Strings too busy ?

If your ban list is too big you get kicked when you listbans. Fix it. - edit  [Please   ]

Learn some manners Josh, a bug report is fine, making demands just means other users have to suffer because you annoyed the developer.

Lets hear some real details such as what size ban list did you try to view etc that can help get a problem solved faster, if your not sure take a look in the bans.dat file is it enormous ?

Like when i list bans no matter if i connect with loopback or just normal ip i listbans and then after it gets to a certain point it boots me from the room.

"I got rid of all the dots int he ip so you dont know the real ip of the users"

it gets this many then it boots but there are lots more .

Hmm I thought as much, perhaps KM will need to add a delay to the listbans command to aviod flooding the command user out of the channel.

it already has a delay with all data sent, and he appears to be the only problem to have had any problem with the banlist so perhaps a client problem to look in to first? that is not a long banlist btw, ask zenar

Btw, it seems after running it for a week that the problem with wcs blocking users after 3-4 days has been fixed.
