Downloading speed is too slow

After I have installed the new operational patch, the downloading time has become unbearably slow.  Songs which normally take a couple of minutes now need half an hour to an hour or more.   I have not experienced such deterioration with my other programs.  So I concluded it's not a problem with my broadband.   Would appreciate if anyway could share their experience in dealing with this.   At this current speed, it's almost impossible to use Winmx.

The patch has no way to effect your downloading speeds, so we need to look at other things that could be causing this for you.  Its a coincedence, typical of computers..

Can you give us a bit more information about your operating system, firewalls, antivirus, and whether you use a router or dsl modem?
Also what version of WinMx are you on and what did you do when you installed the new patch.  Like did you get an updated version of Mx at that time?
Are you on primary or secondary on MX?

Mabye it could be your ISP is blocking you. By the way, when did this ISP blocking start?
