Unfortunately this is not uncommon lately.. for several reasons.
Are you one primary or secondary to WinMx?
Primary tends to be more stable if you can do that, if your already on primary and this is happening it might be a good idea to run PG2, we have seen some users have problems with UDP attacks from IPs that are not on the WinMx World Block List, however many of these are already on Peer Guardian 2 lists. This may be beneficial to you as well, usually its room hosts that seem to have the most difficulty with this.
A UDP attack floods in so many UDP Packets it keeps your WinMx Busy and causes it to loose contact with regular other primary users its connected with, this can also mean loosing contact with users your queued with. This is just a theory at this point.
The other possibility if your a primary is secondary users searching for flooded files, and until we get the majority of primary users on either PeerGuardian 2 or the DLL patch we cant fix this. Using the filters to search would also go a LONG way in keeping this under control. The flooded results come so fast and hard they often cause the same result as a UDP Attack.
Filtering FakesAll this said, a primary connection set up properly will still be much more stable then secondary and if we can get you on that, it may help this problem greatly.
