MxControl Site Problem.
« on: June 06, 2006, 06:32:33 am »
Hi folks , as some of you have noticed MxControl is down, from the sketchy information available it seems the database was being updated and an error occurred.

I am advised people are working on fixing the problem, anyone needing any programs etc can find anything they need in the archives here under "MxControl" and help in the relavant sections.

Hurry back guys  :(

Zenar sent me a PM through the site last night mentioning a small problem with doing an update, then when i looked... seems a key config file was missing, only a simple 1 liner file that tells it how to find the rest of the config. I restored that file to get the site on line, except it appears to be stuck half way through an install, with half of the install files deleted, and half of the database messed up...

..i have deleted that small file i put in, to get it back to exactly how zenar left it, he knows what he was doing when he broke it so he should be able to fix it, too many issues there for me to quickly fix it for them...

Cheers KM I hope you kept a copy of what you did see there as they may lose the whole site.

This is worrying news  :(

yes, the other pages seem OK, except he seems to have broken the home page and forum... although he's looking at putting a new forum on from the private messages to me, although no mention of the rest of the site...

Ok folks we can all relax the Mxcontrol site is back to its normal self, with the addition of some new rules, it seems some folks are not acting politely to mods and other folks.

I hope those doing such things feel ashamed of themselves, that is a decent site and a lot of work has gone into its upkeep.
