well since upgrading to 3.0 patch i have nothing but problems....errors and crashes every hr or so....and when on Primary i neva get S going above zero...i.e. P=between 4 and 8 S= always 0 and my spm varies from about 6000 to 16000

I am still managing to run metis and ouka without probs tho!

any help please

i am runnin 3.53 btw...tho thru all my diff errors i did try 3.54 with no luck also

Your ports aren't forwarded.....
Go to www.portforward.com and see your router model. You can see there how to configure the router to allow the ports winmx wants to use
Do tell what happened

crashing...? is there any specific error message you get?

also do uploads work correctly? as that is a better test than merely having secondary users chose to use you or not (the only time to be concerned is if you quickly get lots of secondaries - which means not patched and allowing flooders on!)

sorry...i shud ave said....i dont have a router, but i am an NTL user...

and when it crashes i get the old "error, send?dont send?" window

u/l's seem to be fine...
but once again it has crashed and come up with the error report!!

Hc4Eva,

do this .. on that error screen you will see a small blue link that says 'Get More Info Here'.. click that and you should see a new box open with the information of what file is involved in this error report.

Make a note of that for us and also dont bother sending those reports.

Is anything else going on when this happens would be useful.. other programs your using etc..

i will post the error info when it happens again....shuddnt be long lol

i am runnin ouka, rabbit, and metis at the same time...these all appear to be fine
i have been gettin alot of errors with Netlimiter also, tho this has been happening since before changing mx around

i am Windows XP Pro SP2 with all updates
Windows firewall is off and i use Sygate

erm, netlimiter and winmx on primary do not go well together, and crashing will happen if you try to limit winmx... set winmx to secondary

i finally found a mxpie 3.1 update...installed this and all workin fine now

i dunno if its just my comp with the winmxgroup 3.0 update or what!

well, if it works then great, however it is strongly advised that you block the flooders, peer guardian with our lists is not great (far from it, you'll still get crap results and it doesn't update often enough) but better than nothing

Please do NOT RUN Primary on the WPN without Peerguardian if your gong to use Pie patches. Your helping the riaa to DOS attack other users.
