Please can you take a moment to let me know if your update bar (top left just below heading) works & what it says?

I'm only interested in results from one internet provider here, if you're with someone else, please don't skew the results by voting.

NTL make use of transparent proxies, that means that when you request www.winmx.com they do the DNS lookup and it fails, because their proxies aren't patched properly

what i do find odd though is that AOL users do get an update bar, because AOL use transparent proxies, yet for some reason that doesn't break it (any use of proxies should break it)

although the update bar isn't a major thing, more of a "it's nice to have it" type thing, i had even considered getting rid of it completely in the patch and replacing it with something else because of the issues with it but then decided it's not important enough to bother with
