first i will admit i dont know much about american law........but it seems crazy that by making a persons isp records a business record that that somehow allows a govt agency to spy on that user.............since G.W.bush has come to power americans civil liberaties have come under attack..........despite all the spying various american govt angencies have done on there own citizens..........no one has ever been arrested and charged with anything.......im assuming that no one can get access to AT &T,S records without a warrant...........but it does show how devious some isp,s are........i gues the only thing ppl can do is tell AT&T to shove it by leaving them...............im just glad here in new zealand we have very strong privacy laws.........no one including the govt can get access to your records without written consent ...........this of course makes RIAA and there co -horts powerless they can do nothing about copywrite infringement here and have been told so by the govt........thou there have been some interesting quirks as a couple of new zealanders have been caught up in child porn.........it would seem the govts interpretation is copywrite infringement is a petty crime and not worth pursuing but dabble in child porn and ya history...........10 points for the govt.........i should add that warrants were issued by the courts for the seizure of the puters in the child porn cases..........and said offenders are now some gang members bitch........justice does prevai.......l
