Over the last few days there have been quite a few people suddenly start reporting their antivirus giving alerts on the winmxgroup patch download
Of course these were false alerts - and the winmxgroup patch is not the only thing effected, in fact it turns out that a couple of antivirus companies have suddenly decided to start detecting the LZMA compression used in most NSIS installers as the ZLob trojan
I have replaced the winmxgroup installers with ones using a different compression, file sizes are slightly larger but it should eliminate the false positives
Those who were getting any such alerts, if you get any more then let me know, and also if you start getting alerts for Zlob from any other programs then it is probably the same false alert, the effected antivirus companies are aware of the problem (which appears to come from their unofficial deals that don't exist of sharing their databases with each other) but it might take a while for the updates to get out to everyone so I have updated the installer for now to work around the issue
While I was at it I also made another small update to the installer for closing winmx if it is running, should reduce the issues with people trying to update with winmx already running.
Apparently updating the definitions will clear this problem in some cases, so is always worth a try
