i have just recently switched to mac    please tell me there is a mac version for winmx  i have searched for the past 4 hours and nothing

The only way you can run WinMX and many Windows based programs on a MAC is to use what they call an Emulator, this simulates a Windows enviroment for programs to run..heres an example of a popular one folks use mostly with Linux machines, however I do believe there is a version for MAC as well.

Can't tell you about mac, but under Linux with wine it works right out of the box, just give it a try :)

dam i gave it a go   but im runnin  powerbook g4 lappy    os/x 10.3.9    for some reasin darwine isnt supported for that version of mac

did you try the powerpc one? it claims 10.3 and above

yah i did    it dl just fine  but when i double click any of the icon's on the tool bar it pops up then goes right away

i dl winmx it it put it on my desktop in darwine file   but when i double click it   the icon shows in the tool bar for a short second then goes away
is there something i need to get  for that win 32 thing first?

no idea... the winmxgroup installer runs fine just by running it with wine, then it installs everything and configures correctly, then winmx simply works... so i would assume that darwine should be able to run it fine... in theory

hmm, it *does* load the mozilla activex plugin on first start though - maybe that's the part that's not working?

actually i found out   it doesnt support power pc hardware     im running  powerbook g4 laptop 768 mb so dimm ram  60 gig  os/x 10.3.9

yup i downloaded that   it doesntmake since thats why i spent so many hours on it       until i like click help or somethin then it said   wont be able to run on power pc hardware
