We are now not at a battle with the RIAA, we are also in a battle with the ISPs, whose traffic, is about 70% P2P. My ISP, iI have no question about, is blocking WinMX or rendering it almost unusable.
WHen I use Covad service, I get uploads of up to 700 Kbs, and DLDs of about 1.5 Mbs, in my cable connection, touted as 6 Mbs dld/256kbs up, if I get for few minutes 14kbs is just lucvk, it fisle out and time out. Dld I've been unable to get anything yet in more thn a month. My cable ISP is Atlantic broadband which uses tell labds as its outsourced ISP service provider.
The main problem seem to tbe that the 200 Billion USD in tax breaks given to the industry were not use for the means it were intended. Instea the ISPO comunitiy has been reducing access to application that consine bandwidth instead of increasing capacity.
I attached a white paper from one of the ompnies that provides the mean s to the ISPs to rob us.
