Hello folks

I tend to load Winmx, search for files and then download files I find while I get on with something else like going to work etc. I find though that I can only download the files I have found when I am at home (because that's the way WinMX works).

I thought it would be nice if WinMX could be made to Search in New Window any searches you have open, say every 30 minutes or so. This would mean that when I return to my computer I see lots of search windows showing files which are only available when I am not at home to search for them, so then I can select them for download the next day.

Any ideas as to how this can be achieved?

well you see, when you search, the results are people that are online now, it dont show ppl that r off line so click 1 n they go off line, u wont get the d/l,
i dont think winmx could work out who will be online in 12hrs cos i know we r good but not that good.......... yet

easiest thing is to just hit the search button on those pages when you get home

and winmx does automatically search for new sources every 10-15mins once you have selected a file

Yes it does.... Depends on your AFS (auto find sources) settings....

What I do is this:

1) conduct a search for whatever song(s) I'm looking for;
2) tag them (right click titles which my search returns, select DOWNLOAD);

NOTE: I tag the file names *whether or not* they're presently available :shock:

3) go to transfers window;
4) make sure all "INCOMPLETE_" downloads are loaded in;
5) block everything in the transfers window that's not an active (or pending) transfer;
6) set titles for "look for sources every 10 minutes" and "auto enter queue" at 100;
7) go to work, go to sleep, go out for cocktails; and...

When I get home, it's like Christmas! All kinds of new music just waiting to be listened to.

You better not start more than two or three sings at one time.... Your Hdd will be filled with double and triple songs in no time. Always dwonlaod songs from people who have free slots. or with the lowest queue number. You can skip step 4 if you ant. to It will always load there....

When you are not happy with a song that you just started, delete it. Don't just clear it. Or your incoming folder will be filled with incompletes
