Just got LAN and need a "map" to get TCP and UDP thru Router

I've tried the simple method of placing Ports 6699 and 6257 in the MS Firewall Properties "Exceptions". They're in there now as accepted exceptions. BUT, when I go to Winmx Networks and ask to be a primary User it tells me I don't have the Ports and i must use Secondary. I need to be a Primary User. How? Please ??????     TIA..........Ron

You have 2 options, you can either visit www.portforward.com with the make & model number of your router, then follow the instructions for WinMX...

Or you can try using the beta version of the patch located HERE if your router supports uPnP then simply setting the ports in WinMX & installing this should fix you up, the only known issue is that it can interfere with file transfers if you use open nap networks in addition to WinMX, if you do I advise the first option (until KM fixes it...)

if you click incoming tcp and change it to listen on port
and click in/out udp and choose send and recive that little box shouldnt pop up again.
