In the networks tab, click Opennap Networks and click find wsx, You'll get some results. not then search for public in wsx file types. Download some of the servers lists you get there.
Then go to the opennap networks and click import wsx. You'll see some red lines with some names there. click in some of them.
If you are in luck, some of them will connect and you will see some of the names go green. If they go green, then it means that you are connected to opeunnap servers.
Now tell the person with whom you want to maintain contact to do the same. Make sure you are connected to the same server. Then message each other and then you can add each other to the hotlist permenanty.
You can also see if your contact is online or not. But you two will have to be conencted to the same srver if you want to see each other online. Simply truning winmx will not do. You must also be connected to the servers as well. Also you must not change your names after you have added each other to the lists. If you do so, then you will have to add each other again in each otehr's lists
