SLOW SEARCH RESULTS?

have everything configured the right way now,,, but the only issue i seem to have is that i hardly ever get search results

im uploading and downloading when i find them ,,


all ports are configure right,, thanks to you guys and the handy little program at  www.portforward.com

so what can be the issue?????? im doing searched like i used to with the old patch and program...... anyone else having this problem?

If you can uploads and downlaod fine, then you are alright.

Pehaps the files you are searching for are rare.
Try with less keywords and see. Else search for only the artist if you can't find many of that particular song of the artist

Keep also in mind Seabee that the 'old' patch didnt filter fakes and you may have seen thousands of results before and only the same amount you get now was real.

also worth noting that a couple of firewalls tend to block udp in spite of it being allowed, resulting in poor results on search & much of channel (chatroom) listing being missing..

ZoneAlarm is particularly prone to the problem, if you're using that, try with it unloaded, if that cures it, there are good alternatives, even windows firewall is adequate.
