AVI Audio Missing

 :Every so often I'll try to play an AVI file that has taken 12 hours to download, and not have any sound. I'm using WMP. Should I try other players? Should I be looking for something in the Search results before downloading? Should I try burning it using Nero to check on audio? I'm sure others have had/solved this problem. Thanks.

What you should do is get a file/player called VideoLan Client.

Its free and plays 99.9% of files.. even as incomplets for you to test them before they finish.  You can get it here:

Probably what is going on with the WMP is that file needs a codec you dont have, Video lan usually works so try this and let us know here.

If you are hell bent of windows media player, then try the K-lite codec pack...

Ii has many useful codecs.
But try out video lan before that.
you'll forget what wmp
