I don't like the way the project developed after my leaving. MXControl was intended to be free and open to anyone. The change to a "must register" community is not compatible with that goal.

That's why I decided to close down the site. You can download the entire software set created by MXControl by following this link.

...that place died a long time ago, and when we thought it might be reborn it ended up in a restricted access forum with no downloads on it (and a whole set of excuses for how a forum run by so many sourceforge hosted projects doesn't work on sourceforge... or "i can't be bothered to read the documentation" as it's also known)

Perhaps a proper library could be set up here for metis scripts or something like ....i no theres a few scripts in the bots section but there jumbled up all over the place wouldnt it be better to set up something here just for metis as so many hosts on winmx seem to use this bot now and would be a good way to encourage new users to this forum

Actually we're already working on that

We have created a whole section for Metis and any scripts/games etc.
For now we're collecting scripts anybody might have saved there and might later have some kind of database to look through them.
Just give us some time to find the best way how to do this

For now anyone that wishes to post 'working' scripts from the MXControl site please do so.. so that they are not lost.. we can then get them from those threads to upload to any future libraries or database..

Lets all make sure all those wonderful scripts are not lost..

we have lost alot, 100's of scripts, as well as the help from the other sections, i have a few scripts i use on my site and have posted some here already, we will rebuild what we had, it was a blow for us, but we will rise to the challenge the same as we have done before and no doubt will do again.

Then it willl be easier to browse through it as well, instead of numerous topics

lol, you think that's bad, i came to the site and suddenly found new sections and was like "wtf?" and we went and started discussing it... then while we were discussing it the sections started breeding like rabbits and every time i refreshed there were more sections and in the end i just gave up refreshing... lol
