Apple Itunes Going Rotten ?

Is the market voting with its feet once again and turning its back on itunes in favour of free p2p content ? Some would say yes.

Apple has denied a report which claims US sales at its iTunes Music Store fell by 65% in the first half of 2006.
Research group Forrester said it was too soon to say whether its findings showed that buyers were "reaching their saturation level for digital music".

Apple said the report is "simply incorrect", but will not divulge iTunes financial figures.
Forrester said Apple users may be put off since iTunes songs can only be played on iPods or via iTunes itself.
This means that they cannot be used on rival digital library systems or music players.

Recent separate figures from fellow research group Nielsen Soundscan have suggest that all music download services have seen flat or declining sales since the start of this year, not just the iTunes Music Store.

I hope this means folks are trying out free content and creative commons works that cost nothing along with copyright expired music, after all if you are willing to pay for hyped and chart rigged musical offerings you may as well give up saying your a music lover.

Poor old apple, lets hope thet are not forced to scrape the bottom of the barrel and do a deal next year with the recording industry that will peel away their profits

One thing to keep in mind is that Nielsen (the ratings people) were bought out a long time ago... You cannot believe their version of the truth since they are controlled by the same ones who are running the hollywood scam on everyone...

What the ones in charge WANT to look good, WILL look good. Such as "oh, sales are declining because all the nasty little pirates, so we must instate new laws, and sue everyone in order to regain what we are entitled to...."

Step 1 in controlling people: Aquire anything and anyone who is reputable and trustable in the eyes of the public.

I hope that people read this a couple times, until it really sinks in....
